HELP She's threatened to use "DUCT TAPE"!

You might want to search for an interior specialist near you, or at least contact shops before you buy a part. Some places (like the shop I work at) aren’t keen on installing customer supplied parts due to the wide spread of quality of parts available online.

Crazy talk, but maybe try calling the dealer or an independent Honda shop too since they’ve likely seen it before.
