Help - What am I doing wrong or is my product not good enough - Leather cleaning interior

Sonax leather foam is a top quality product, but I’m not certain where it falls in the ‘strength’ range. I forgot to mention gyeon leather cleaner as another great option.

Yeah that is the feeling I'm getting after looking more on it. But paired with the sonax erasers maybe it will be great!

Be careful using Eraser sponges on leather. The main thing that can throw you off is the soft texture of a leather seat and the fact that it gives way as you apply pressure to the seat. It’s not the same as using the Eraser on a vinyl door panel which keeps its shape as you scrub it. Just imagine the leather seat acting somewhat like a waterbed compared to your normL mattress. That’s 1 of the main reasons I don’t use Magic Erasers on leather, it’s too easy to screw up and overkill it.

Not all melamine sponges are created equal, some are more aggressive than others. I would think the Sonax sponges would be on the mild side for them to be labeled for use on leather, but you won’t know till you try them.

Right, appareatnly they are "Extra dense, low abrasive". In their video, YouTube they do show it in use with the Foam can so looks like it's ok!

Hummm....

Just get a good Sonax brush and fresh cotton towels.

Combined with whatever product you use--should be fine...

^^ a popular online retailer sells their house brand of white 8x8 cotton face cloths that IMO are the best for leather cleaning.

8x8”? That’s a horrible size for having to clean leather interior with. Lol.

I use 16x27” aka hand towel size cotton terry towels for wiping down leather.

Omg I just checked their prices for cotton terry towels. Wow they charge more than 3x what I pay and I guarantee I get better terry towels than they’ve got. I’m glad I don’t do any of my towel shopping with them.

Edit: Wait, never mind. I searched for cotton towels and they’re actually white microfiber utility towels on that site. I can’t even find cotton towels on there. But regardless, $3.25 per microfiber towel is still outrageous. Lol.

Costco....

That's where I got mine.

yeah my bad. i went back in my order history, they're 12x12 and cost $15 for a 24pk....63 cents a towel and folded in 4ths I typically only need 2-4 per vehicle.

I need to see how they hold up to being bleached though. I've washed them and the staining is tough to get out of them, being white.
