I have been out of the detailing world too long and there are so many products to choose from I just don't know what to do and what to buy to help me with my 2007 black Tahoe. I posted a couple of before pics in my introduction post but here they are again.

Hi,

Good effort, but you need to step up your game a bit.

First in terms of the pad. The White which is the pad that has the more cut out of the three LC pads that you are using is not enough to correct. You need either an orange or a yellow.

In terms of the polish, I would suggest to go with Meg's M105 to correct and remove all swirls / defects and then use your green pad to finish with Meg's M205.

Use your Grey/Black pad for applying your wax or sealant.

So Orange or Yellow with M105
White or Green with M205

Good luck.

I agree on the pads, but Menzerna SIP (IS-1500) should be considered too.

Everyone talks about the orange LC pad to remove heavier swirls and defects, but for some reason you hardly hear of the yellow. It's good the previous poster mentioned it. I has defects in what Nissan calls hard clearcoat, and I'm glad I had 1 yellow pad, as the orange would not correct it, but yellow did. In my very limited experience, the yellow LC pad is much much more aggressive than the orange.

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks as though I will be placing an order very soon. My wife is impressed with the results so far so she has given me the green light to "order whatever I need" to get the job done. :xyxthumbs:

Thats funny. They are mostly all of them like that, once they see a 50/50 shot.

for that truck, m105 on green and m205 on white will remove the swirls, i dont think you will need orange for that....good news is 105/205 can be found local...give that a shot and you should be good to go.
