Help which MF towels are right for different applications?

Hello,

So I am ready to polish my car for the first time to remove those ugly swirls. My black car is only a year old and although I've been very careful so far, I've started to see light swirls that look like spiderwebs...

That said I need help finding the best microfiber towels for the different tasks listed below. I realize that I might need different micro fiber towels for each application, with so many options, I am having a hard time deciding which is the best mf towel for each application so I am asking for help from the experts.

1) Removing polish (Menzerna Super Finish Nano SF-4000)
2) Removing wax (Adam's Americana Premium Carnauba Wax)
3) Drying after each wash
4) QD after each wash (Turtlewax Black Spray Detailer)

10 of each!! haha JK. Here's what I do generally.....
1) thin, short nap towels, like Meguiar's
2) thicker short nap
3) Cobra Waffle Weave FTW! after a good blow :)
4) Cobra super plush purple, gray, or gold

Just my .02, you'll find what works best for you, just pick some up from different places whenever you can. I have dozens still in the bag I haven't got around to using yet.

I agree, short nap towels for a better "bite" when removing polishing compounds & LSP's. All the "plush" towels can be used for quick detailing or rinseless washes.

I Personally think that once you get all this nice variety of colors, shapes, sizes of mf towels, then you will realize that it was pointless. Where do you live? If you have a home depot, they got these nice green mf towels 24pack for the 10$. These are truly mice multi purpose mf towels that didnt even scratch my black soft paint. I mean the rule for microfiber is the more the better but these towels are just my go to for interior, drying, and polishing. I use them for just about everything but the wheels. Is that breaking rules for ag? I hope I didnt, I mean I bought a variety of towels from ag so I hope they let me slide LOL. You definitely need a nice big ol' drying towel to get that car dried up nice n quick as well as some towels for your wheels, so get those from ag.
 
I love the thick dark blue ones with grey border for sprays .... they work well on light wax removal also.
 
Thank you all for your recommendations, I went ahead and ordered some towels to take advantage of the 15% off sale :) ...I've tried the big pack of mf towels from Costco and those towels are good for cleaning glass, car interior and car wheels but are way to rough to touch the paint of the car without creating swirls marks, specially on a black car. I am happy with my order below and hope to have time to work on my car next weekend.

I just bought all these and the wax removal (white with red)

I find i like the blue rolled edges MF towel, i have yet to find something they cant handle. The price is not that bad for 6 packs!:dblthumb2:
 
Nice choices. Maybe you can be "stronger" than alot of us and keep a reasonable amount on hand. I'm gonna need a separate washer and dryer in the shed if I keep it up.
