Help with black trim

The problem with a more permanent, coating-type restorer, which may stay looking good for 1-2 years, is what do you do then? I have had disappointing results re-applying C4 over surfaces that were previously coated.

I had the same problem with C4 when trying to re-apply. Do you think Dlux would have the same problem?

The problem I had was on a windshield cowling that had faded to gray. C4 did a great job but after 8 mos or so it was starting to gray again, and a reapplication didn't help. The surface was still glossy, it was like the trim was graying underneath the C4...so of course the reapplication couldn't reach the surface to re-restore it.

I would presume that DLux would be similar since they seem to be similar products, but I haven't used DLux. When I run out of C4 I will try DLux or I may just use my Opti-Lens if I've still got some at that time.

I have topped off DLux without any ill affect.

Just bought a new car and wanted to protect the exterior plastics as the car will sit outside 24/7. Will try Dlux because of the good reviews.
