Help with DA haze Soft Honda Paint

I got a black 2013 accord and I just got it fully prepped and clayed. I started my first test spot on the trunk lid using a griots 6 inch DA with Blue hex logic pad and V38 finishing polish and I ended up getting slight haze. Blue is the softest pad I have and I'm wondering if I may need a black pad since this paint is super soft. Does anyone have any experience with the V Line on black honda paint? I'm wanting a 1 step polish , vehicle has slight swirls/scratches from a year of daily driving and washing. Also I have a grit guard pad washer , would it be recommended to wash the pad after each section with this application ?

Going to try tackling it again tomorrow any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated .
 
I don't know much about the V line polishes. I'm not sure if they are DAT or SMAT - or if even CG's knows that info. Some like the heavier cutting V line polishes - and some don't. I bet if you tweek your technique you may be able to resolve this issue. I have some HL 4" pads - but not a blue one. So, I'm not sure the cut of that either. I believe the black/grey HL pad is the lightest cut / finishing pad - so that would be the pad to use.

However, assuming your blue pad is a finishing pad - if it's not, then you need to obtain a finishing pad. My guess would be you may be able to figure this out by adjusting your technique. Use a moderate arm speed on a slower speed (3.5) with normal pressure. That is what I would try first.

Since we don't know if the polishes use DAT or SMAT for sure - you may want to also play around with your number of passes. I'd try just 2 or 3 passes to see if it cleans up the marring.

If all fails you may just need to get different stuff. If it was me, I'd get some soft finishing pads and some Optimum Finishing Polish.
 
Blue pad should be perfect. Try a different polish like HD Polish. Speed 3-4. 4 section passes.
 
Thanks for the info. I just got to the shop going to take another shot at it. I'm fairly new to this and I'm still learning. My biggest problem is gouging when the polish is fully broken down. What do you guys look for to guage when the polish is fully broken down. This chemical guys polish doesn't seem to dust.
 
V38 seems to work for a real long time for me. CG advises that when it starts to look clear o thought don't they?
 
this is what i did on my honda civic when i was getting the hazing. my last 2 passes i did with only the pressure from the machine and slower speed down to 3.5 or 4. that solved my problem. i have never used the V line from CG, so i dont know if that will work for you.
 
I did my Honda with V38 on white pad and orange pad with v36 on bad areas followed by v38. perfect finish except for some deeper scratches.
