Help with gaining larger website audience

I designed my own website and have done everything else needed for my company with exception of the logo. My customers are typically in the cities where the population is low. When I ask them how they found me they always say google. My problem is when i say that these cities have small populations i mean you could drive through it and miss it if you blink. The city i really want to target is Reno. The problem im having is if you go on google im not showing up on google maps in reno like I am with all the other neighboring cities. Is this something time will fix or is there something i possibly did wrong?
 
If you want some exposure quickly, Have a restaurant place mat printed and work with a few restaurants around the area. Have all your services listed with prices etc. Just think how many times you are sitting waiting for your food and you have nothing to do. You could also have an app made and they could scan the place mat so you are in their phone.

Thats not a bad idea. Have you done this before?
 
if you're typing in google 'no limits mobile detailing' and you see your page at the top of google.. that may be because you have visited your site so many times that google automatically places it at the top for you

meaning only you are seeing yourself on top of google... while everyone sees you on page 2

go on a computer that you've never googled your business name and see where you are on google rankings
 
No, I have not done it personally but have been in the automotive business for 37 years and know how to market service. It's cheap and effective. I have been involved in other ventures with festivals etc .that we used this method to promote the event. I go to a restaurant near my work where they charged business money and put their ad on the tables and then clearcoated over them so they are permanent on the table. The restaurant made enough money that the advertising paid for the new tables.

My website doesnt even show up when i type my business name and my city... My facebook yelp and everything else do but not my website... If i type my business name and a neighboring city ill show up i just dont show up in the big city where i want to be. This is with using a different computer as well.
 
SEO (search engine optimization)

tells google what the page is about ad if it relevant to what someone is searching then it will show your site at the top

Yeah i know what SEO is but its way out of my budget right now. I did my own with the SEO utility built into wix but its not that great of a SEO if you ask me.
 
anywho, dont worry about gaining a bigger audience (traffic)

instead, get people (who are interested) to look at what you're offering!

You can have all the site traffic in the world but is it not the right people it's worthless.

It's all about the people that want it and that's not everyone. You need to find the people that car about the cars they have. I don't have a site (yet) but I can tell you that I'm booked three weeks out if not more.

The bamboo is right you need to get those that want the service interest.
 
Well yeah thats obvious. Im not looking to market my website to people who arent interested in getting a detail. Im interested in getting my site to show up on google when some one is looking for a detail. Like my google business account wont even show up in the biggest city by me but it shows up in all the other neighboring cities. I figured since im not doing anything today I would work on my site and advertising. Just looking to see if any one has had my issue.
 
Over the summer set a $30 a month limit on Google adwords express. It will cost you a dollar a day but should help steer the right traffic to your site exactly from where you want it to come from.

You know, Im doing the adwords thing right now and im a little lost. It wont let me set a monthly limit it will only allow me to set a daily limit. Its been running since Friday and its only got one click and charged me .53 cents. Do i have to many keywords and what should my daily limit be? I have the daily limit now set to $10 and im monitoring it but something tells me i didnt do something right.
 
you should split test em

each ad should target certain keyword

after X amount of clicks/time see which one gets clicked most

delete the one that lost now make a an ad to compete against the ad that won

make sure the ads are being shown equally (60/40 is fine)

dont do an ad with so many different keyword: auto detailing, car detailing, car cleaning, etc..

auto detailing
auto detail
automotive detailing
best auto detailing
mobile auto detailing
mobile detailing
mobile detail

car detailing and auto detailing should be split tested
