Help with Meguiars G110v2

I received a G110v2 dual-action polisher for Christmas and this is my first polisher. I have been having some trouble with it when I have tried to use it though. Whenever I have used it, it starts getting hot and smoking a little. When it started smoking I turned it off and decided it was time to consult Autogeek. Do ya'll have any idea as to what could be causing the problem?

It's not old enough to smoke. Did you install the washer on the back-plate?
Send it back it's under warranty.

Get replacement, that one looks faulty ..

Thanks for input, i'm not sure if i put the washer on. I will check that soon.

Yeah smoke coming from it is never good. I would call AG and they will make it right or at least tell you how to go about getting it replaced from Meguiar's.
