I have been following a regimen for my own, as well as family/friend’s, daily drivers based on Meguiar’s Paint Care System…

1) Wash: Gold Class Wash [every week]
2) Clay: Meguiar’s Clay Kit [every 6 months]
3) Correction: Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound [once a year]
4) Polish: Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish for gloss [every 2-3 months]
5) Protect: NXT Tech Wax 2.0 [every month]
6) Maintain: Meguiar’s UQD & UQW [UQD as needed, UQW every week]

Results have been solid and OTC products are easy to obtain, however, I’m beginning to run low on supplies and want to know if there are changes that will yield better results.
I’d be grateful for advice regarding regimen and product choice! (I own a 6” Griot’s Garage for reference)

I see nothing wrong at all with your process or the products you use...

If you desire to experiment a bit, substitute a sealant in place of the NXT spray in step 5. Sealants do a much better job at protecting the finish. Once your satisfied with the finish preparation and polishing now is the tome for the sealant.

Sealants are very easy to use and some are clear and require no buffing at all.

Wax

Waxes add depth and a bit more protection. To make the finish look wet I like to apply a wax over the sealant. Wait for the sealant to cure for about 12 hours before topping with your favorite wax.

For maintenance I'd recommend a quality spray wax. The spray waxes below give outstanding results leaving the finish glowing and add protection as well...

If you like to dabble a bit in new products I like these

The guy above me is the man! Read what he writes as he gives out great advice.

I also think you might benefit from moving from NXT (which I hear doesn't have a great lifespan) to a sealant (which can last upwards of 6 months).

+1 BobbyG is the best, literally he helped me a few months back, followed every bit of knowledge he supplied, made my detail so much better!.

Thank you so much for the detailed advice and suggestions, Bobby! I'll definitely purchase a sealant in my next order and try it out.

Thanks to Camaro and Corolla too, I appreciate your input.
