Help with rims

Is there anything I can do to "repair" these aluminum wheels without getting them refinished? I suspect it is corrosion from salt since the car was located in Pennsylvania before I got it. Thanks

I would start out with this: Flitz Industrial Strength Aluminum PreClean remove heavily-encrusted corrosion, lime, tarnish, grease, oil and water stains without dulling

Then follow up with Blackfire Heavy Cut Aluminum Compound and then Fine Cut Aluminum Polish.

That would be a good starting place.

I bought the front two wheels on my Trans Am used and one had heavy pitting on the lip. I was able to clean the wheel really well and then I wet sanded the pits out from the lip.

After you've cleaned up the wheels it will be easier to see what you're dealing with but I think the suggestions given above are great. I'd try some ironx or sonax to start.

This looks a little too neglected but iron x paste should take care of some if not most of it, otherwise I would try a metal cleaner like Flitz as mentioned above

These pictures were taken after a good washing so what's left is what wouldn't come off with soap and elbow grease.

I assume that the wheel is clear coated due to spokes being painted and the fact that you have straight-line scratches from prior correction attempts.

So my answer is no. I think it was Shoeless89 that had a thread over the winter concerning the correction of his wheel finish.
