I ordered the meg. kit porter cable da kit from autogeek. I used the orange smart pad with 105 on a test area, then follow with the black/gray pad with 205. Holograms like crazy. I have watched all the videos, used different pressures and speeds.

any advice would be much appreciated!

Pics please. Holograms from a DA would be new to me. Is it possible they were already there and just covered in a good glaze.

I did get the car detailed 2 years ago and never saw any holograms until now. I will take some pics.

That weird I never heard of DA making holograms. Can't you fix it with your DA?

Try priming your pad with a detail spray. I'm guessing here..It might help...
I never seen that before with a DA...

I suppose. But the only pads I have are the grey and orange smart pads, the only compounds I have are m105 and m205. I scared to keep using them, since that is what created the holograms. Or like others have said those holograms may have been there before....

I just need some help to get them out.

Try another area with same procedure and see if they create holograms. It's prob was there before maybe you just never noticed it?

Never seen a black pad you mean the gray one for the PC I know is for applying Wax not something like 205

The kit comes with the gray finishing pad. I thought I was to use the orange pad with the m105 and the gray finishing pad with the m205. Should I try to make a few passes with the orange pad with the 205?

Orange pad is for cutting gray is the finishing pad for either a sealant or a wax I am pretty sure you can use the 205/105 with the orange pad the only different is the aggressiveness

I should have ordered the wool pad for the da and the white cutting pad.

I'll see what the orange pad with the m205 will do.

LC foam wool pad is awesome I tried it with Meg diamond cut compound and works great then i polish using the LC flat orange pad with menzerna polish

How big of an area are you working on? How many passes? What speed? Is the pad primed properly? Are you dry buffing? Tough to tell from the pics here!
