Hi all
I hope this is the right place to put this.

I have a griot's garage 6" da.
Just picked up the LC orange & LC black 6.5 pads.
Along with maguires DA correction 6" pads and D300.
I am working on my 2009 orange dodge challenger.
Dont know how I got this bad of water spots or what its from.
Or the griots pads and 1,2,3 polish is not cut that good on this dodge. Might have hard clear im thinking.

So I get the new things in and tried them I think I used them right not 100% sure.

I had griots tell me to use more presure on the da then I read and watch videos tell me to let it spin to cut better.

This time I tried both the DA microfiber worked nice and easy.
looked to take good amount off.
still not to the point I need it.
So tried the lc orange and 105 it took off not as much.
I did 6 pass so 3 each way and let the 105 spin and the Micro da some force for 3 and other 3 let spin.

O and I use CR SPOTLESS De-Ionizing Spotless Water System to wash and rinse the car with a low power pressure washer electric. Im on well water so bad water and low power.

Hope this is good info.
to get some ideas to help me.

thanks

Welcome to the site.:welcome:

How large of an area are you working in at one time? Before going out and buying something new, try using the Meguiars pad and D-300 again but work in a smaller area. Choose a 16 inch squared area and using medium pressure and speed setting 5, do your 3 section passes in one direction and then do 3 section passes in the other direction.

You want pressure on the pad but not so much pressure that the pad stops rotating. The pad doesn't have to spin fast but you want it to rotate some while polishing. If you can't tell whether the pad is rotating or not, place a magic marker line or a piece of tape on the backing plate so you can see exactly how fast the pad rotation is.

After doing 3 section passes in each direction, wipe the 16 inch area clean and inspect your work. If you are not happy with the results repeat the same process in the same 16 inch section, checking your work until you are satisfied with your results.

Once you are satisfied with the results, move on to another 16 inch squared section and repeat the same process that it took to get your results in the first section.

All of the Dodge/Chrysler vehicles that I have worked on had very hard clear so be patient as it will take some time to achieve your desired results. Practice makes perfect.
