I have a problem with the windows on my 1979 corvette. The windows look clean in the garage but, the minute i take it out in the sun they look smeared and look streaked. I use GM glass cleaner and use a mircofiber towel when i clean them. Help how can i get them clean Thanks Vetteman2000:buffing:

Never heard of the GM glass cleaner. Maybe pick up some Stoners Invisible Glass locally and try that.

Inside or outside that's bad? If your unsure the recommended way to find out is do inside up/down and outside left/right (either way) just so you can tell which is giving you grief.

I like the Stoners Invisible Glass and I use a window microfiber because I HATE fuzz that comes off even the best microfiber cloths. The window ones seem to be a closed loop with short nap so there is no loose ends to come off.

I use a window wwmf, I don't spray the glass directly. I spray my mf towel and then wipe , flip and buff dry with megs glass cleaner

The windows only looked clean but really aren't.

  1. Meguiar's Glass Cleaner
  2. Clean Microfiber Waffle Weave Glass Towel
I bought some GM glass cleaner from the Chevy dealer and didn't think it was anything special.

Is it on one side or both? It could be a moisture.

  1. Possibly a combination of temp and humidity like when something cold hits something warm.
  2. Water or moisture leaking inside the car; window seal, heater core, door seal.

Thanks guys i will give it a try and let you know how the glass comes out :xyxthumbs:
