helping a new AG member out this weekend. Roadtrip!!!

This world seriously needs more people like you Dave. My respect goes out to you Dave.

I wanted to thank everyone again for an amazing two days.

Dave really is one inspiring guy and I truly feel blessed to have had the opportunity to meet him in person.

I now understand some of the reasons why he is successful at what he does.
From the moment I met Dave, I could easily tell that there is something very special about him. He is the type of person that makes you immediately feel comfortable. He is both professional and relaxed at the same time and is completely upfront and honest with you. His scope of automotive knowledge is simply awe inspiring.

While working with Dave, I remembered why I had chosen auto body shop back in high school and began to regret ever letting go of the dream of working on automotive finishes.

Before Dave left, he assured me that he would be around if I ever wanted his help. whether it be another learning experience or working on a car together. I will definitely take him up on that offer someday and I will work very hard on finding a way down to his area someday. I also feel completely comfortable about the prospect of having him help me work on a potential future customer's car.

After this experience, I feel confident that I have a reasonable chance of being able to make my dream of working as a professional a reality. I will definitely pursue this venture further and plan on ordering a Flex 3401 in the next day or two.

Thanks Michael. This trip has helped me in more ways than you might know. You definitely have the right attitude to succeed at this if you continue to be as open minded and hard working as you were this weekend. To be successful you must immerse yourself in it, live the part. Read a lot and practice even more.

I have been hugely inspired by the likes of Mike Phillips, Renny Doyle, Bud Abraham, TOGWT (the old gray whistle test), Joe Fernandez, (Superior Shine) Barry Theal, (Presidential Details) RaskyR1, Todd Helme, Lil Shiny Detailer, among many others. Read all you can from all of them but all members here (new and old) have lots to contribute.

I got to get to work so I'll post more later, TD

I can not find the words to truly express how GOOD I feel about this...So I'll just say...

Great job Dave!

Bill

This is a story that shows what good people can do for one another. This is inspiring on so many levels.

Dave, I can't say anymore than what's already been said, you are truly a generous and giving man. :props:

My brother lives in Honesdale PA. I know that is a hike for me from Jersey! Glad you guys had a great time and for such a great cause!

Very cool Dave.

Helping out a fellow car enthusiast by sharing what you've learned over the years is not only incredibly nice but I'm sure you also found it very rewarding.

A few years back there was a forum member that had a cool signature line that went like this,

"Each one teach one"

Pretty cool philosophy, one I try to practice myself...

Thanks Dave for "going the extra mile". Too often I have found it not to be very crowded....
