Here's what you need to get into machine polishing - Recommendations for a beginner by Mike Phillips

Sorry again for bumping this old thread.
Can any of you gentlemen advise typically how much AIO is needed on a typical pad?
I'm using a Griot's DA with McKee's 360 on LC thin pro pads.

I thought I remember reading somewhere on the forum that an AIO like 360 needs to be liberally applied to each pad.
Is this accurate for the most part?

Yes.

You use a one-step cleaner/wax like you would use a compound or a polish when doing paint correction, that is you use the produt heavy or wet. You don't use a tiny amount. You want plenty of lubrication on the surface, plenty of abrasives plus whatever other magical ingredients any given brand uses to abrade paint and make it look beautiful.

Here's a recent article I wrote with pictures to show you how to use an AIO

great videos by Brian/Apex Detail proving/showcasing that the Griot's Garage polishers are of a high quality build both inside and out. this coming from someone who owns (and have used) all the latest and greatest name brand polishers and has no bias towards any brand/company...

:updated:

Just shared the link to this thread to a guy looking for help and reaching out to me via Facebook Messenger.

I never mind sharing stuff on the forum on FB but most of these people could find SO MUCH more information on this forum than drudging through all the sludge on FB.

:dunno:
