Hi all,

I'm Shashank from India! I took an interest in detailing after i bought a new black car. I love to keep my ride clean, and had been happy with washing and waxing until i came across a 'detailing' thread on another forum.

As i read more on the thread and on the net, i developed an 'eye' for detail, observing swirls,fine scratches etc. I used to be happy with the results i achieved through wash and wax, but after my newly acquired 'knowledge' i realized my car is far from perfect or as they like it here 'Show car finish'

I now have a small collection of products with which i wish to detail and protect my car before the monsoons arrive here. Its very hard to get top brands in India despite the presence of a good market, only Megs has its products here officially. Would love to see AG open here!

Apart from my interest in Automotives and Detailing, i'm into photography and radio control car racing (Nitro only)

Look forward to learning from all the pros here, will be a while before i can contribute i guess :)

PS: Here's a pic of my ride clicked on a trip, its a Volkswagen Polo Diesel

Thanks! Now is the best time to visit the part of India where i stay, if you're interested you can google Western Ghats, South India. The monsoons have just arrived here, and its abundance of greenery everywhere.

PS: From your handle you seem to be a BMW fan, which cars do you have ?

EDIT:I see you've mentioned it in your signature, 325xi comes with the inline-6 cyl engine ?

I was in the Northern part of the Western Ghats (Pune) last year at the very end of Monsoon Season...it was quite lush and beautiful. The view from the Mountain Top Sinhagad Fortress with amazing.

Yep...the 325xi came with the inline 6 cyl...looking at getting the new 2012 which has that hot new turbo 4 cyl... My X5 is a clean diesel, but quite fast with its massive amount of torque...

Good to know you liked it! The new 3 series with a turbo will be a hoot to drive i bet!
