Hey first post have a few questions.

Perhaps you meant NXT by Meguiar's? Although NXT does have a nice smell, it's not the best choice for a black car. Get Poorboy's SS&S, DP Xtreme Formula, or Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo.

As far as wax if money is not an issue (after all it's a Benz!), Souveran Paste is the best out there. Other good options would be DP Max Wax, or Poorboy's
Natty blue.

I would strongly recommend that you get a foam gun. It's very important for a black car!

Thanks for the tip but I don't see any diffrence from this foamgun to the one at my local walmart.

Also , What does everyone recommend to get to do some detailing work on my friends and families cars? I don't want to spend alot of money when I'm the one paying for it. Any good walmart products I can use for them?
 
Justin has used the Meguiar's cleaner wax and the Armor All gels with good success and he got those at Walmart. Wally world also sells the Invisible Glass.
 
there is a foam gun at walmart? I hate walmart.... I don't care if they have soveran out there for $2... I'm still not going.

Price it out with the Natty's Blue seperate, but since you are buying the 7424 with the LC pads, SSR, and Jen is recommending Natty's.... just buy the Poorboys PC 7424 kit.... even comes with some towels and their Spray and Gloss and some other stuff I think...

But now I need a wash mitt and a drying towel.

Anything else i'm forgetting?
 
Walmart should have some 100% euro sheepskin mitts dont use any mitts that are synthetic. Go through the Euros and pick the sofest ones available.

Cant remember if it was Target or Walmart but i found the same mitt $3.00 cheaper then what i paid for the Detailers Choice mitt at walgreens.

The sheepskin mitts (2 offered) at AG are great, one is synthetic but has a ribbing material for bug removal. I prefer the real ones. I have also found that a good microfiber towel with a thick nap works well at washing and leaves no swirls. Just remember to wash them out well. You will see a very unique foam based wash sponge coming from Edge shortly, it is very different and works nice also.

As for drying , there is nothing better than a waffle weave GUZZLER from AG. Stay away from synthetic chamois and blades as possible.

Now if you must buy OTC, look for Viking products. They seem to have the best press from several well known detailers.

Are you saying the one with the nylong backing is synthetic? I was surprised when you wrote that so I looked it up on the website... here's what this one says... to summarize...
