Just bought my first new car, 2009 white VW GTI, and found this site while looking for info about detailing and products. Looks like a great place for what I'm looking for. I have yet to place my first order, but that will most likely come in the next day or two.

I absolutely love the Candy White on my GTI. Never even considered the other paint options, but I live on Lake Erie, so the bugs are brutal, and winter will be here sooner than I think so with the salt and snow, I'm looking to get on top of things now.

Just wanting to say hi.

Loved that car, but sold it last weekend and managed to get almost what I paid for it. Found out at the end of Oct. that I would be needing a truck a couple of years sooner than I had expected so I'm buying a 2010 black TRD Tundra that I have to go pick up in Charlotte, NC in a week. Couldn't even come close to the same price up here.

So now it looks like a whole new couple of orders for the truck... and boat.
 
welcome. i too own a gti 07 fahrenheit all done out for track. alcon racing brakes, chip, full exhause, bilstein shock. etc.. on your white one i have one real important recommendation. get pinnace souverain liquid for the light color. it is better than paste for these light cars. just did a silver mercedes and wow.
 
Well, I sold the white GTI. Bought a black Toyota Tundra. That's why I just bumped this thread.

I just used that NXT paste with the GTI. It held up really well, while I wasn't terribly impressed with the wax itself, it did what I suppose you should expect for a white car.

Don't know yet what I'll try with my truck. Black truck w/cloth interior, while the GTI was white with leather.
