ordered a PC7424xp kit cant wait for it to come in
love detailing first machine ive ever gotten , reason i got it is due to swirls that have finally beaten me first time im not able to get it all out by hand :( cant wait for my kit to arrive another step up in the detail game :)

maybe i can ask this here so i dont have to make another thread im sorry if its not okay :/

just a small question like i said i have swirls. i plan on using swirl x and the white 5.5 LC pad if that doesn't work i will be stepping up to an orange pad and swirl x. then if swirlx doesn't work ill use ultimate compound. after i do that stage i plan to use deep crystal polish *using products i already have* . my question is deep crystal polish needed? i heard that swirl x is counted as a polish ?

example. if i use UC . with an orange pad. ill go swirlx white pad. gray pad with deep crystal - blue pad for nxt wax if uc is not needed than am i able to go swirl x then wax?

thanks

and of corse im going to wash . clay . dry etc etc befor hand.

Welcome! And as far as your question goes, where you planning on doing the whole car with the swirlx/uc? If so, it will do a good job of cleaning the paint, but if your only planning on doing the spots with swirls then I'd hit the rest with the deep crystal polish, I know it's an OTC product but it does a good job of cleaning the paint especially with a white pad/pc vs hand application

Hi Mike,

Welcome to Autogeek Online... me thinks we were chatting on YouTube?

maybe i can ask this here so i dont have to make another thread im sorry if its not okay :/

It's great to introduce yourself here but the title of your intro thread says,

hey : )

No one with information you're seeking will click on a thread that says "hey" to give answers on how to remove swirls.

A better approach is to start a "dedicated thread" in forum like Auto Detailing 101 with a title like,

Question about which polishes to use for the first time?

Then you'll get a lot of replies because of the title and the location of the thread.

Looks good so far.

I typed out a very lengthy reply to another new forum member that goes over just about everything involved and everything you'll want to do to buff out your car regardless of which tool, pad and chemical line you purchase. So instead of re-typing a long reply I'll just post the link to the thread...

How to approach buffing out your car for the first time

Great questions...

SwirlX is a "Cleaner/Polish" and Deep Crystal Polish is a non-abrasive pure polish. the SwirlX will do everything you need. You can apply the DCP if you like, it won't hurt anything but it might not add anything either as the SwirlX does a pretty good job on it's own.

I buffed out the car on the SwirlX label and also the Ultimate Compound label. :D
