Hi Everyone,
Thanks for accepting me.I am looking forward to increasing what little knowledge I have on getting my ride which is a Holden VE Commodore, which is Hot Red in color up to the stage where the paint will shine in our nice summer sun.Cheers Andy.

Welcome new GEEK! Post a pic of your ride....Enjoy the forum, lots of very knowledge to be had here... Have fun!!

Sorry Sameguy,I am in Victoria, down in the Southwest of the State.Thank for the welcome all.:xyxthumbs:

Hope to be in Melbourne at Valentine's Day for England v Australia at the G!

Welcome and enjoy all the great info here!

Holden VE Commodore...never heard of them. ;^)

Welcome!

They are what the Pontiac GTO is based on with a different grille and the steering wheel on the other side lol.

Welcome mate, I am also from VIC probably not far from you actually. You will learn heaps on here!

LOL I think you got zoomed mate! Misterpaul drives a G8, which he surely knows is a Holden Commodore. The GTO was a Monaro. :)

Thanks guys, lol yeah I thought Misterpaul was having a lend of me :xyxthumbs:

sphell located near Warrnambool this way.

Cheers Andy.

Andy, nice ride you have there! Sorry I forgot to welcome you aboard.

Welcome!

I love my Commodore, best vehicle I've owned in 30+ years. I smile every time I drive and sneak a look at it when I'm walking away from it. Shame GM is halting production of them.

I think they'll just relocate production offshore to Southeast Asia and import them under a deal in the AANZFTA (that's a mouthful!).

I've been in a number of VZ and VE Commodores over the last six years, great cars. This year I got to drive a number of Utes when I was there, including a VE Maloo R8 -- and fell in love with it.

I was hoping after the recent success of the Chevy-badged police cruiser and the SS that GM would rethink it and start retooling Oshawa for VF production, and maybe expand the line to include the Ute/Maloo.

Yes unfortunately our car industry here will be no longer which is Holden,Ford and Toyota.

The upside with Ford is we will be getting the new Mustang over here,Holden from what I can gather will be made in Germany http://www.carsguide.com.au/car-news/holden-commodore-to-get-a-german-accent-29322

I too am like you Misterpaul, sneak a look while walking away and I park so far away from other car cars to avoid door dents,my wife often asks do we need to get a taxi to get to the shop, due to the distance I park at times.

Glad you guys have got to drive our Holdens and own them.:dblthumb2:
