New member here. I'd love to learn about how to remove fine swirls/line in the paint of my Infinity. I have been cleaning cars for yrs...won many awards but never really had to do the above, it makes me a bit nervous. I was hoping to purchase equipment to polish and wax my cars - but I'm a bit overwhelmed...where do I start???:buffing:

Welcome to the site. A lot if great info/people on here.

I'm about an hour from Boston!

Best place to start is reading on here and checkout Youtube for great videos too... Between this site, some others, and YouTube you'll be able to learn more than you ever wanted to know. I'm in Weymouth by the way...

Not only is the paint soft but also the glass. I have tried various glass cleaning and polishing products to try to keep the windshield clear, but doesn't last long.

Same with the paint, been using various polishes and waxes. So far the best single product has been a sealant. Last July I applied Blackfire Crystal Seal Paint Sealant. It has really held up. Previously, I've used Auto Glym HighDefinition Wax, Collinite's Insulator Wax no. 845, Pinnacle Signature Series II. Since I already have them, still use them even on top of the sealant of which I'll remove as soon as we get some spring weather up here. Then the Griot's 6 inch Random Orbital (dual action) Polisher goes to work applying various polishes. This time gonna use Blackfire's Gloss Enhancing Polish that members here have suggested.

The one product that I use often is Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine. Weather permitting, I'll use it twice a week.

does sealant replace the wax? or is in addition to a wax?...if so, were in the steps does it belong?...so, I clay-bar, polish and then wax?
