Just realized Autogeek had a forum yesterday.

Anyway, I'm planning to get serious about detailing my Mustang and figured this was the best place to learn as much as possible before I start buying some gear. I've typically used Mothers brand products on my car, but not with orbital buffers etc. So, I'm here to learn.

I have a 2004 Mach 1 with just under 45k miles. I have a paint issue with the hood, roof, and a little on the doors and fenders. I went to a body shop to have them assess the issue and they claimed it was from acid rain. I will post some close ups of the paint issue when I get home, but essentially it looks like etches in the clear coat layer. More to come...

Thanks everyone! Really appreciate the welcome. :)

Welcome!

With a little luck, you'll get the advice here to get your paint corrected yourself.

Since you are close , check out Indianapolis Cars & Coffee this and every Saturday at 96th and Meridian St. in the McAllister's parking lot. 10am till noon. A lot of members from the Southside Mustang club frequent the event. And welcome to the forum.

Cool, thanks. I'll check that out!
