Hey, I'm AJ from Burlington, NJ, right over the bridges from Philly. I've been reading this forum a lot lately after looking for ways to make a little extra money while I'm home from school. I'm 22, I go to Virginia Tech, and I'll be graduating in December with an engineering degree.

I drive an 05 Honda Civic EX, I ride an 05 Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider, and I like biking.

At first I was only interested in headlight restoration, which I learned how to do from reading the posts, write-ups, etc. on this forum, so thanks (see one of my first projects in the attached picture)! I'm definitely becoming more interested in detailing as I explore the forums. I'm planning on purchasing the PC 7424 XP polisher soon, and hopefully I'll earn enough money from working on friend's and coworker's cars to cover initial costs and maybe make a little profit.

I look forward to learning lots more from everyone.

Welcome. I have found this forum to be very helpful to me a weekend warrior. The pro's here are very open and share their successes. Read and learn. Go to Mikes garage shows...great info. :welcome:

You can do that no problem...

First educate yourself, then you can educate your customer on what you're going to do for them and this is how you will justify your price, start out higher than the competition and do better work.

Once you get some experience in both detailing and educating your customer you can start detailing at the top range of your geographical area.
