That sponge is scary...What about body contaminents it absorbs? Doe is release them, or keeps them, increasing possibility of marring the paint???

It's a med/hvy abrasive and will marr the paint surface, but unbeatable on glass (especially glass with paint over-spray)

You need to rise the foam OFTEN, a good addition to your clay tools, but not a replacement IMO

Question- why is this in 'Off-Topic'?

From my experience, and even better, from experience of highly qualified detailers whose opinion many trust that have used this sponge, it is best suited for cars with lots of contamination you want to knock out fast and do not mind it will create marring as you will be polishing afterwards anyway. IMHO think of it as a very aggressive clay and not something you would be using on polished car or car that needs very little claying and paint correction afterwards. Clay and sponge both have place in arsenal.

When it comes to contaminants it grabs, just keep on bucket with soapy water handy and keep frequently rinsing them away in it like you would use rinse bucket when doing two bucket wash method.

So wont damage the glass whatsoever? If not I was thinking about picking one up and using it on glass as part of the wash?

It won't hurt you to have one but I am undecided whether it is needed as part of regular wash on the glass or not and would there be any cons.
