High School Reunions

I graduated from high school in 1971... I never had the inclination to go to a reunion...

I graduated High School in 1970.....yea, in the last century before calculators and computers. Gas was $0.29 / gallon and a 1970 Plymouth Cuda 440 Six Pack was $3700.00.

My 40th was this year. Didn't go. Too depressing. Most of the people that I hung out with in High School are dead. The ones that didn't die in Nam are guys I still see all the time anyway.
One girl that I still know went and didn't remember ANYONE that was there.

Sucks to get old, doesn't it?
 
Never went to any of mine. Did not hang out with anyone from High school I was too busy trying to create a career in motorsports.

Went to my SO's 35th 3 years ago, it was fun. I probably knew more people there then would have been at mine and the schools were 100 miles and 2 counties apart.

Funny thing when I got divorced my Ex wife asked me to go to her 20th with her and her new husband as most of the people she went to high school knew me and wanted to know what I was up to. That would have been awkward!
 
My 20th is coming up in 2013 and I plan to attend that one...haven't gone to any of the others though. It sucks because my parents moved my junior year so I only spent two years at my graduating high school. What's funny is that I get reunion invites from both high schools! :D

for my 10th I was in the Indian ocean
for my 20th I was in the Mediterranean sea
for my 30th I was in the Persian Gulf
maybe when my 40th comes around Ill make it
 
I did not go to any of my reunions( 5th, 10th, 15th, 2oth) and really have no desire to go to any future ones. It is not because I had a bad experience in school (quite the contrary), but that I never really look back. Think about it, you only really know these people from a definitive timeframe( 4 years) and then most move on with their lives. I wish my former classmates the best, but I have no real desire to rehash old stories.
 
I graduated only 4 years ago. My HS experience wasn't all that great and only made a few close friends. So there's no point in going for me.

In my early years the desks did in fact have the holes where the inkwells "WERE"....:laughing:
