But, there are a number of vehicles that are impressive to drive that are not necessarily of German heritage. One example is your love, the TSX.
From what I've read, the Regal GS lacks driver engagement, which is a no-brainer to me because of the segment that it competes in expects that. People that buy performance sedans want linear, accurate steering with positive feedback (GS lacks that), a shifter that is engaging to row through the gears (GS lacks that) and an engine note that would be uncalled for in a Lucerne (GS lacks that too). On paper, the GS walks the walk, but from what I understand it doesn't talk the talk. (I haven't driven one yet, my observations are based purely on the reviews I've read).
While everyone agrees that it's an engaging car to drive, everyone also seems to agree that there are better options in the respective class that it competes in.
I'll keep pinching pennies and put my money towards a TSX. :dblthumb2:
