I have to get it done. Poor timing I know but I have work commitments and it is what it is. I

will be getting a "hip resurface" tomorrow morning at 8:15. Prayers and positive thoughts

appreciated. Should be detailing again just in time for winter prep...God willing

Chet,

Prayers and best wishes on their way. Any surgery is tough especially if you're the one having it. This needs to be done for a reason and in a few short months you'll be 110%!!:props:

Best of luck to you buddy!! :dblthumb2:

No one looks forward to surgery, but they're doing some amazing things these days that can make a big difference in the quality of life. Once it's over, be sure to follow any rehab plan that's suggested. Thoughts and prayers!

my buddy had a hip replacement at 25(a year ago) because of rolling his vw gti at over 100 while drunk....you'll be back to it in about 6 months
;-)

Prayers are with you. I've seen and heard amazing results from hip surgery like yours. I just had knee replacement. After a week or two your going to be wondering why you didn't do it sooner.

I hope your hip surgery goes better than my knee surgery did.

Sometimes it's tough even if you're the one doing it :xyxthumbs:

Good luck with the hip resurfacing. You'll feel better better really quickly. The success rate of hip resurfacing is amongst the highest of all surgeries (around 98%).

It is a very unique surgery. Can't to feel the "Why didn't I do this sooner"

I hope your hip surgery goes better than my knee surgery did.

It does have a high success rate. Trying not to think it's in the bag until it's over. I don't want to be negative, I guess I'm just trying to keep it real. thank you for the prayers and thoughts.

Talk to everyone soon. :dblthumb2:

From a fellow AG'er and Dodge owner, I'm wishing you a fast recovery. :props:

Thoughts and prayers are with you. Wishes for a speedy recovery.

Wishing you a speedy recovery...

I've been racked up a couple of times in accidents, mostly motorcycle accidents, (3) and then my boating accident. The one thing I practiced was letting the repair heal slowly so it healed correctly.

We guys are tough and I think that makes us think we can put ourselves back into action ASAP but that's not always right especially if you're body is healing.

So take your time, stay down and do what the good Doctor orders for recovering, waiting and therapy.

Everything else will wait...

Good luck with the surgery. My dad had a couple of successful hip surgeries. The rehab is the important part of the recovery. Go slow.

Good luck!

I will be going out on 10/6 for a full knee replacement followed by Stryker Disc Compression for the back; herniated discs L4/L5. Hopefully, after the new knee I won't be walking crooked which is probably played a part on the back and the hip.

I guess with Winter on the horizon, now is as good a time as any.

Just think, you will already be out while I will be starting mine.

Just one word of caution. Percocet/Oxycodone.

The knee replacement works great...at least it did for me. Be careful with the back. Mine was supposed to be an easy fix...didn't work...then fusion...didn't work...then fusion going in from the front...didn't work. I'm as bad or worse than when I started...three neck fusions to go along with it. Then of course there is the thoracic problems. Just be careful...do plenty of research on the doctor that is doing the surgery...success rate, etc. Good luck.

Surgery went really good this morning. Had a really rough day but feeling way better now. Thank you for the prayers
