Stumbled upon this show today. It was interesting. It's off the largest car wash in the United States is 5 minutes from my house. The Cloister Car Wash in Sinking Springs Pa. Then they showed how to do it yourself. And then a pro detailing challenge by a Mothers Rep. They put all kinds of tar, bird poop, mud, eggs, and paint balls on a Porsche 911. They baked it in the sun and then cleaned it up with detailing spray, clay, and tar and bug remover. Did a nice job. Fun show to watch. Check it out if it's on again.

They guy in the u.k that charges 9k for a detail and only does exterior. That's crazy.

Those who missed it, found this on youtube.

Before I got on this site and learned better I used to take my cars to the Cloister Car wash they profiled. I even paid them to wax our Volvo. 2 teenage girls with what looked like rotary buffers. It looked nice but didn't last even 2 weeks. Also when I would go there I often had to have them run it through a second time, it would come out still dirty. Now I only use the DIY Car Washes and don't let any whirring brushes touch any of our cars. From washing that video I realized I have a Mr. Clean system somewhere in the garage or basement never opened.

I was going to post about seeing that show last night, but Spiney beat me to it, lol. It was very interesting to see that huge car wash operation in action. I got a kick out of the "do it yourself" guy using that sponge/scratch pad on his Hyundi! Doh!
