Holy Soft Paint, Batman! - Porsche 993 - Paint Correction - Attention to Detailing Peoria, IL

When you "light painted" the car in the "tucked in for the night" long exposure. What was your light source? Super cool effect. The light looks like a ribbon/banner.

That is very impressive results. I hate rock chips on black, lower panels getting sandblasted are just as bad.

Very well done and documented.

Thanks! I use a Yongnuo YN360 LED Light Wand for light painting.

Thanks Zach. Keep up the excellent work and photos. That YN360 looks like a no-brainer at $75.

Yup - I had that thing pre-ordered the second it was announced :) Previous LED light wands were hundreds of dollars which make them unrealistic for enthusiasts like me who don't light paint all that often, but the YN360 is outstanding for the price.

Damn great job top work. Did you fill in all the chips as well?
Thanks! No, the rock chips were left alone. Due to the excessive quantity of chips and rash on the lower panels and front end, I recommended the owner consider repainting the areas in the future if he wishes to enhance the look of the car even more.

Way to save this 911 and :dblthumb2: for making it pretty again. I bet the owners mouth dropped when he/she saw the finished product.

You turned that scuffed body back to the sculpted body it has! Everything flows nice again!

Great job!

you are not kidding about soft paint...I did one few weeks ago...same condition...hammered to crap...while it corrected nicely, had trouble finding ways to finish it...but essence came to rescue. Great job.

Outstanding work! Truly pro level and i can appreciate the comment of balancing correction with saving that older, soft paint.

I'm lovin' "Vintage Porsche Week" here on AG...first sizzle's white '91 and now Zach's black '95!

Thanks! Was a fun car to work on, that is for sure.
