I was called by a friend that i had detailed his car before if i can detailed his new purchses car ..

I said to him bring it on

I think you get the idea

So i start polishing at least to get rid of these nasty holos but i was schocked that even the towel was left marrying ..


My combo was m 205 to the soft sticky paint was edge pad (green )



So excuse the light marrying in 50-50









suprisely even the bonnet had holos ???why ???



The same combo again




Then i finished with black foam and menzerna 85re5(the least agrresive from menzerna )
then prewax cleaner sonus and red hex foam ..The ipa left srtikes that i couldnt budd

That was a mess and really brought back the depth of the color!

I imagine the owner was quite pleased how it looks now.
50/50 work is very impressive.

That paint had some ugly halos in it and you brought it back to life.

I'm sure you were thrilled seeing the paint after your work.

I love this paint. It really show everything. I worked on a my silver one yesterday, I had a horrible time finding swirls. I know it's there but I can't find it. Silver car suck. I'm going to jump to a night hawk black next. Can't wait for it to turn out like yours.

dorkiedoode This paint was so soft that the towel create marrying ,the paint was heated to guickly .The Ipa create strikes ..No,NO Stay away from this paint hahah

Great job:dblthumb2: yes Honda paint is very soft and stifky, but they came "easy" to correct, just use polish and polish pad or aio products. But sometimes can give u PITA with this kind of paint:cry:
 
I call shenanigans! lol, you put those holos in the paint just for the write up didn't you? jk.

So what did you do to wipe off the polish if the towels were causing marring?
 
Thank you guys ..yes i put this holos before to show the correction achieved ahhaaha(shsh dont tell anyone)

After seeinh that IPA left strikes i remove the polish with damp towel with guick detailer ..many sprits on the paint and to the towel .. and for finishing i use the sonus prewax cleaner to remove the maryying .But this product if you ise it a long time its very difficult to remove ..only 2-3 passes

Did you learn this on the forum, or through trial and error.
Those that hang around detailing forums, usually put out top-shelf end-products. Rarely do I run into a situation that hasn't already been answered by those who walked before...and when that doesn't work~I call Tuscarora Dave...lol. Im the MAN

Yes i figure out by my self ..first i try to work it until it broke up completely in speed 5.. it was to difficult to buff ,then i try to speed 4 not to brake it completely and worked lovely

I try to pay close attention to those not here in the US, regardless of country.

My point is that I've learned much from others, even if I have not personally ran into whatever that particular issue, is. And I know what to play with to bring issue under control.
For instance, Tuscarora Dave, Danube, Alko, and Charlie Hahn have posted in the past on both sides of the soft paint issue.

Seems that AGO is the place to be. Thanks for posting :xyxthumbs:
