This thread is for all that use or considering the use of the HONDA EU 2000i INVERTER GENERATOR.

Wow. I'm currently in the market for a new generator. Up until now, my mind was made up on the eu3000. However, after seeing this, I may be reconsidering... Has anyone have any input on this blackmax?

The heck with it, I just bit the bullet and purchased a honda eu3000is. I hadn't had the chance to use it much but, from what I've seen so far, I'm very VERY IMPRESSED. This unit is much more quieter than I anticipated. Tomorrow will be the test as I have a full day scheduled. I'm really looking forward to sharing my experiences with this unit... Stay tuned...

@ALLN1WASH good luck hooe you post photos and videos, I may upgrade from my EU 2000i TO EU3000i in summer if money is right, not a nesessity but like to have the EXTRA power if/when wanted

great generator, we have 2 of them for work. can run an sds max hammer drill and DDEC-1 core drill at the same time on one of them. thats about maxed out. I cant see any detailing tool requiring that much power at once. Should be able to use multiple halogen lights and any polisher at the same time. You can get a lot out of the 2000. dont just add up the wattage of your tools and think thats all you can run. rarely do your tools ever run at full demand.

If your looking to plug 6 things with high demand in at once go for the 3000 instead. But if your looking to move them around by hand a lot (and not mount them somewhere), then for sure go with the 2000 for its portability and light weight.

technically you can buy any generator. but the best thing about these generators is the durability, size and weight. You can drop them, run them in the outside in the pooring rain, inside in extreme dusty situations, never change the oil or clean the air filter and they just keep on going. expendable items are the casing and the vent in the gas cap (although I think they recently went to an upgraded gas cap).

I consider Honda the best brand that provides best quality products. I am using Honda eu3000is and it is a powerful and fuel efficient generator. It is the best generator I ever used! You know I got a heavy discount on purchasing it.

RIDGID 3,600-Watt 211 cc Gasoline Powered Portable Generator with Subaru Engine-RD903600 - The Home Depot

Not inverted, I know. But very quiet nonetheless and might be good for people considering inverted/non inverted.

Have owned it 2 years, have never had a single problem. Use it for my mobile detailing business.

Thanks may consider for a backup unit but first reviewer states noise concerns

WALT773: We don't lose power offend in my town, but, we did last spring. Utility company said power would be off for a minimum of three days. Ran out and bought my Ridge generator . I was surprised and pleased that this unit powered my appliances as well as it did. Refrigerator, freezer small air conditioner, some lighting in two rooms and the TV. The only thing I would improve is the noise level otherwise the unit is great for my purposes and recommend it.
