Take a wooden paint stirrer like from Home Depot and wrap a micro fiber towel around the end and you are in business, that's what I would use. :buffing:

I have no issues with my honeycomb...and I own a GTI,the entire grill upper and lower is all honeycomb.

Wanted to add, once you get it clean, use the trim detailer to keep it clean and looking like new. This product is great for your grill application.

This is another good idea. They would fitThe front of my GTI is overed in honeycomb grill work. When I'm trying to apply products or give that grill work a good cleaning, I've found the small foam paint brushes you can find at a craft store or some hardware stores works really well. They come in a large variety of sizes, so it isn't hard to find one which will fit the size of the openings on your car. The smaller ones are also pretty cheap.
