Hose nozzle

I use a fireman’s nozzle from amazon and like it. Doesn’t leak at all and is great for car wash to watering plants

I used a fireman's nozzle for a couple years and went back to one of those rotating turret types for a while.

With the weather warming up and washing season upon us (if it ever stops raining) I'm in the hunt again for a fireman's nozzle. I like the variability and the way it sprays the water better than a turret style. However, this time around I'm going to get one with a shut off handle to make life a little easier.

I appreciate the replies. It appears that the nozzle that you Eldorado2k have is still available on Amazon in both the multi pattern and adjustable types. Not available anymore at Lowes or Home Depot. Its possible that style may no longer be made and what appears to be its replacement gets bad reviews for what thats worth.

Thanks again.

I just found it available at Wally World online and also on Ebay.

I also found this 1 which I’ll strongly consider because it’s from the same Max line that my wand is. The Max line claims up to 30% more water pressure output.

Can you post a picture of that replacement nozzle?

Eldorado2k that blue and silver Orbit one is even better than the red and black one you have. I have both. Use one at work and one at home.

Yes, thats the one that has some not so good reviews.

Amazon reviews are sketchy to say the least.

The dumbest people leaving garbage reviews for the most part. Especially for simple items.

I wouldn't rely on those Amazon idiots as your only reference point.

The reviews actually aren’t even all that bad...

The price however is absurd. Who the heck would pay that when you can buy it on Ebay for like $12-14 bucks? Lol.

I usually read the 2's and 3's and look for patterns. The 1's are usually people who post that theirs broke. So, I pay attention to the number and percentage of them. Also, a high total number of reviews is usually a good sign.

Yes, exactly.

I have a swivel-connect sprayer that came with a marine wash down pump kit from like 2016-ish.

I like it a lot. :)

Well dang, I would’ve never guessed you owned even a halfways decent nozzle a little while ago.lol.

In my opinion, there is no perfect hose nozzle.

If you have 40 psi at the end of your hose, you're doing better than most, and will think better of a certain nozzle than the guy with 25 psi.

Couple that with the fact that no nozzle is needed to properly rinse a car/truck if you use the flooding technique, and I find the "Nozzle debate" kind of trivial.

JMO..........

Lol!

I like it, but it is in no way perfect.

You are sharper than a new razor blade on shave day, Ric. ;)

Here is what I ordered when I made this post. It has held up well, no issues, no leaks. Like someone else posted get a quick release system. It is a Gilmore but not sure the model.

Lol. I’m somewhat excited about getting that new Orbit nozzle.. However I know it’s not going to be perfect due to it not having a proper “soaker” setting like the cheapo nozzle from Wally World does..

That soaker setting is great for filling buckets fast without overfoaming the bucket. It also doesn’t have it’s own flood rinse setting... Other than that I except it to be great.

What would you say keeps that Gilmore nozzle from being perfect?

The fact that at the marina I worked at for 20+ years, we sold the Gilmore line.

157 slips, and almost all boaters bought the Gilmore products.

Don't get me wrong, they are workhorse products for the price.

But the longevity was a problem. One or two seasons was tops for the spray ends.

To be fair, this was all in a saltwater environment, and with frequent use.

Which nozzle do you use on a normL frequent basis to wash your vehicle?
