I am a new detailer and a new poster.

The other day I degreased my engine with Super Clean then power rinsed it. Got most of the engine clean but my hoses have a white powder like film on it....

What did I do wrong, and how do I fix it?

Feed back please

Welcome to AG,
I'm not familiar with engine work, but you came to the right place to get some help.

perhaps using a water based dressing like 303 Protectant would help remove white marks and dress as well ???

Thats the about only thing I could think to do as well.

Maybe washing it off again with a less caustic cleaner (like car soap) and wiping with a microfiber would do it?

Do you think the white powder is the degreaser baked on, or discoloration??

I just detailed a 2010 Ram that had a white film all over the intake pipe. The client works at Chrysler and said he noticed that white film on the intake pipe too when at work. I was able to remove it completely with some P21S TAW and a brush.

Would APC work with the right dilution?

I tried APC+ but i had it diluted already at 10:1 which is not too too strong. I suppose it would work if diluted at 4:1 or if you used megs super degreaser.
