How can I get permanently dressed tires?

I drive approximately 15 miles a day but the city parking is a beatch for the tires. I've bought Tuff Shine "dreaming" I will not need to re-apply often and it's very flexible coating which is going to handle the daily abuse, but it didn't.

I googled TK-421 and all I got was a Stormtrooper...

... So what the heck are you guys talking about? Lol

Lmfao!!! That's the Best!!!

There is NO permanent solution but getting your tire clean, really clean and applying a quality tire coating will net you a solid month on a DD, lots of choices out there, gotta look around and/or PM forum members.

I agree with you that tire coatings are semi permanent but 1 month seems really low. I can get easily get 1 month out of a tire gel. I've had McKee's going for 4 months at the moment on my daily driver that are cleaned on a weekly bases.

I put tuf shine on my dad's and it's held up pretty well on his tires with his city driving. I do refresh it around the 3-4 month time frame. I find McKee's to be more durable and the shine last a little longer.

i just use a tire gel then a spray on top every couple weeks, takes 2 seconds and is the least of my worries where work is concerned. it takes a lot longer to take care of the paint.

Hey Guz, when I did a tire coating test on my work van a couple years ago I got 2 monthes out of the tire coating before Browning reared its head. Keep in mind this is a daily driven ride, driven in dirt lots and all weather conditions as well.

On my own ride I go a month, maybe less because I'm looking to maintain that "look" but even then it's never actually "needed".

Is there any permanent solution to
having my tires look deep black and
brand new all the time?
Kind of; sort of: If you get yourself
a set of the below tires, that is.

-Scroll down to paragraph [0014]
that starts with:
"In US-A1- 2001/0051677,
Francois Bataille et al. disclose a
tire, the sidewalls of which contain
a varnished film..."

Holy crap, Robert...my head just exploded!

Considering tire sidewalls probably withstand the most abuse while driving (specially mine), I have abandoned all hope of a permanent dressed look. I am currently using M37 coating and am going on 1 month and 3 washes and it's still holding up well.

I've done tests with a few different dressings and even sitting in a garage with no driving and no washing, I can get at most 2 months before I like to reapply. They just fade over time.

It isn't or is water based. Your post day it's not. The ad copy says it is.

It's not the water that makes the tire conditioners come off easily/quickly, it's the surfactants. Our TC has no surfactants. Our Floridian customers use it successfully through hurricanes, torrential downpours, and insane UV exposure. No TC is permanent, but ours is very long lasting.
