I was a car guy long before I could drive. Mini bikes, bikes, go karts, etc. I always took care of anything I had because I knew my dad worked very hard for it, and it needed to last. Then once I started driving in 1976 my very first car was a 68 Mustang. I was constantly washing, waxing, detailing the engine bay ( even though it was only a straight 6 lol ) you name it. I took pride in my ride. I worked my way up through a few 70 Mustangs including a Mach 1 with the works, 351 Cleveland, Hurst 4 speed , you name it. My dad and I totally disassembled it and painted it like my dream car white with blue Shelby stripes. I washed and waxed it every weekend and showed it a few times. I did this with every car I ever had no matter how old they were. But up until now wash and wax was the closest I got to detailing. Then last summer I got my 50th birthday present a black 96 SVT Cobra. It was a garage queen kept by an auto geek he only put on 1500 miles a year, kept it in a heated garage, it never saw rain and he told me he kept it so nice b1y using practically every Meguiar's OTC product available. So I needed to maintain it in the lifestyle it was accustom to. So web searches led me to AG. I also knew about AG from the many Speed Channel shows I watch, Two Guys Garage, Car Crazy, My Classic Car, you name it. I'm hook, and thank God my wife is just as hooked. In fact she bought the car for me, but she drives it much more than me. So I started with lots of OTC products from Wally World, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, and then got serious and bought a GG 6 and Meg's DA MF kit from AG at Christmas. On Tuesday thanks to Tuscarora Dave I'm going to a Meg's factory demo of the MF system so I can really start detailing. But it is all just for me, and my family not a business. I go by Spiney due to multiple back and neck surgeries and fusions. While I would love to make a business of it, I could never physically do it. I'm an entrepreneur from birth so I love new ventures. But alas detailing is not in the cards. But my wife and I owned and operated a photo studio for 15 years, so I hope to make some money photographing other car guys and gals cars. Sorry for so long.
