If you are really concerned get the finish kare system and apply it. If there is still beading after you are done the coating is intact.

I did the non warranty version of opti coat pro on my car few months ago. Since it is non warranty, there is chance the coat is peeling off after some time, How do I tell?
Help me out here...I did the non warranty version of opti coat pro on my car few months ago. Since it is non warranty, there is chance the coat is peeling off after some time, How do I tell?
The latter, I'd like to know how to tell my coat is 100% intact.Help me out here...
-Is this Coating peeling off now?
-Or are you saying it may peel sometime later on, (because this Coating is non-warranted), and would like to know how to tell when the peeling begins to happen?
Thanks.
Bob
Here is how the coating should respond to a water via pressure washer when the paint is clean. If you've been neglecting washing it or going thorugh a lot of touch-less washes your beading may be diminished slightly from my video, but a decon should bring it back to like new.
EDIT: If your using ONRWW it will be hard to tell for sure.

Rasky, the video is awesome, is it opticoat 2.0 or pro version on the car? if 2.0 has such behavior I'd probably just do 2.0 next time.
Thanks. The latter, I'd like to know how to tell my coat is 100% intact.
IF you get a warranted version of opti coat pro, the installer will actually inspect your car annually to check the intactness of the coat. But I didn't pay for the warranty so curious how to do so myself.
But:I've never seen or actually heard of oc peeling or cracking.
When it goes away its properties simply dissapear.

Do you know if the installer used the primer first before applying the opti-coat? I would take it back to him and make him fix it. It sounds like he may have not prep the paint properly. Even if you did not get the warranty I would still fix it for you. Any good detailer would honor his work and fix it since it's only been a couple months.
I don't believe the OP stated there was any issues. He just seemed curious how to monitor his coating to ensure it was still protecting his car in the future. Rasky provided the answer in that he should simply maintain it with regular washes and decon when necessary.
But:
It should never go away, unless abraded away;
Now isn't that how it's marketed: "Permanency"?
