How do people let cars get like this

My wife is literally one of those soccer moms. We have a 16mon, 4yr, and 8yr olds. The oldest plays soccer and the 4yr old is in gymnastics. Her 2011 Caravan RT is always trashed inside. I can't stand it. It has a blacked out interior so the carpet may hide some stains but it shows everything else.

The reason people let it get that way is because it will look like that again in under a week. It's almost pointless to detail.

I know because I have done my wife's van too many times just to see it trashed again days later.

Kids are a detailers worst nightmare...and great source of job security.

Having a disgusting car is bad enough. Imagine people treating your home that way. I'm renting my townhouse. Its only been 7 months. These people are gross. The clean picture is when I was there. You don't want to know how the rest looks.

Nasty. Good job. Bet there gosse doesnt look that bad. At least I hope not. Amazes me how people can treat 50k - 60k car like that but not their house. Different priorities i guess. I guess if everyone took care of their cars there would be no need for detailing lol

At work I get in people's cars all the time. The more expensive the car, the dirtier it is. Some cars almost make me put the key back and say, I'll let the next guy take it.

Dude....that's nothing. You should see some of the soccer mom cars I get. It amazes me how much time people spend in their cars yet don't care to keep it clean versus their house and how they keep it clean.

I doubt there houses are celan either :D

A lot of people are slobs . When I was a much yunger man I would tell my 2 sons that if they messed up my car I would beat them to the inch of there life. As a result they wouldnt even touch the windows with there fingers. They also grew up keeping there cars clean.

Glad you weren't my dad, but you can always go hang out with Adrian Peterson and compare switches LOL :props:

Yup, It seems the every time I see a disgusting, nasty, foul interior from one of these "soccer mom" cars (minivans), and think to myself it could get no worse, the next week i will get one way more disgusting :( It seems there is no limit to how nasty some people can get their cars.

It looks like someone spilled an entire bowl of cereal and milk back there. I bet that caused 90% of the mess.
Nice save.

:iagree: That is exactly what my Dad told me! I didn't touch a thing! Guess thats got something to do with me being a detailer now. :props:

Jarred mate - top work! Awesome turn around! :dblthumb2:

Yes, momivans are horrible, my wife's sisters gets just as bad, it may not be mine and im not getting paid to clean it, but it irks me that someone would let their kids sit in a mess like that. Imagine the stuff floating around that could get them sick.

Those vand have little bowl type holding areas in the back, and in addition to the numerous spots of gum and candy on everything, choc milk stained seats, there was one of those trays completely filled with a melted and now molded ice cream pop..... hooooowwwwwwww could anyone let something like that stay there?

I mentioned that she wouldnt have to clean it so much if she just didnt let the kids eat in the car... she asked how is she supposed to do that..... when I mentioned that she could try feeding them before and after trips and saying no to snacks oj the way she could save time and money.... it was like a lightbulbed finally flickered on in her head, although her van still ended up the same in a few weeks because of laziness

I have done countless cars and vans like this and much worse. and they rarely clean out any trash, cups, car seats, or anything. I don't have kids but I have never understood the Cheerios thing. who the hell wants to eat Cheerios all the time? least you could go with orange fish or something.

Letting the prisoners run the asylum. Lack of parenting skills letting kids have what they want when they want it.

This is all too true, fortunately for my own family, we have 4 kids and cars that rarely have crumbs in them. Long trips do the most damage, but I spend a few hours cleaning everything off after long trips, the body odor smell from 6 people sitting in close quarters for 20 hours is enough to make anyone want to do a full interior detail.

Kids can have drinks but they are always capped with straws and everyone knows how to use a cupbolder. Snacks, when I have my way, are limited to non crumbly things like string cheese. Milk doesnt go in the cars because protein stains suck and the smell isnt very pleasant. Other than that, you get normal dirt and sand from playgrounds that cleans up easy, no idea why some people find it so difficult to take a few minutes on the weekend and vac up the debris from the onslaught of normal life

Also, thank god capri sun has clear juices in their juice containers... they save money by not dying their drinks cause you cant see them, and we dont have to deal with red or blue stains everywhere from little dribbles

I wonder what their house looks like?

some people are polar opposites when it comes to house and car.... but then again, some aren't lol.

like my already stated example, her house is definitely not on the polar opposite side, it's more on the same-same side of it. never too clean, junk everywhere, etc..... but like others have stated, a dirty car doesn't mean a dirty house. some people look at their car like they do their lawnmower, its a tool.

It's not just kids who are pigs, we fitted a brand new Ford Kuga and Land Rover Evoque with reverse cameras (pre-delivery from the dealership) and they came back 2 weeks later after being delivered to the customers and I was amazed at how poorly they had treated their new cars!

The Evoque had dog hair, dried mud and rubbish everywhere, and the Kuga had two cups of cigarette butts in the driver's door and the ash had gone all over the interior, not to mention rubbish everywhere as well. And these car's were 2 weeks old!

Very true, most cars that have seats that look this this original one have driver's seats that are in similar condition, sometimes worse. This car was a case of that.

People are just nasty could you imagine what their house looks like.
