How do you advertise?

I was paying $350 a month! Not a single review I got should have been hidden

Do you guys think Google ad words is more effective than Facebook advertising? Also with Facebook is it better to promote your page and bid for likes for 5 or 10 dollars a day or promote a single post or ad. Thanks

Some people have geat results with Adwords I didn't but you can set your own budget. I would never pay any $350 a month to advertise that's a huge waste of money.

I use both facebook and adwords. I find Facebook is good to target a set area of people and the 'type' of people that may use your service. I use Facebook to get followers so that then I can interact with them and show them my work and services.

With adwords it's a lot more important for your users to have a reason to contact you right away, so it's extremely important to have a killer website with a 'special offer' of some kind that will get the visitors to contact you right away.

If you don't have that it doesn't work great.

As a consumer of detailers, I can tell you Facebook and their stats are exaggerated. I deleted mine way back when privacy concerns arose involving them. I am not sure you will get more customers using a website meant for selfies and Zynga poker alone.

I do use google for most of my things (gmail, g+, youtube, search, etc) but I'm not sure even ad words would ever cause me to pick you to detail my car.

I chose Detailed Designs Auto Spa for my BRZ for a couple of reasons...
1. Jean-Claude is active in several forums answering questions and showing his work. This allowed me to have a little more trust in his business as it gives me the feeling that he is a real person and not a faceless company. I found my LMT MWS308 dealer on a forum dedicated to carrying in Georgia, I found Jean-Claude here. I think being involved in the community you work in is the best way to get new customers.

I guess social networks could also fill this role, but I have never seen an intelligent exchange of ideas on one, mostly just #ButFirstLetMeTakeASelfie.

2. YouTube videos of techniques and results, because videos are even better than pictures.

It might require a little more effort than just posting a link to your site on ad words or Facebook, but I think it is much better for those who do a lot of research before deciding on a company to buy goods/services from.
