Sorry, I've been searching for about 20 minutes but haven't found a clear process or product. The exterior black metal around the window is getting nasty. Without polishing it, what's the best way to remove/reduce all the marks and spots then add some shine?

Thanks,
Howard

M205 and a mf towel or applicator done by hand. Or use a DA and a soft low or no cut polishing pad. Follow with wax.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will try it out this weekend. What Menzerna product matches up well with M205?

Meg's M205's cut is in between Menzerna's PF2500 and SF4000.

Those frames are called pillars btw. Might help you in your search next time. : )

After you hit it with 205 apply CG'S EZ Cream Glaze, you'll notice a great difference.
Works for me, then use a good paint sealant then wax , all done.

Be careful with those. 90% of these gloss black window trims I have seen use a very soft (much softer than the rest of the car) paint which is why they tend to swirl up so quickly. The paint on these panels is also thin, so be careful trying to make them perfect and polishing them for too long as you can quickly burn or rub through the paint.

This worked out very well. Used Flex 3401 on speed 2, with a white pad and PF2500. Went over all areas very lightly till large majority of white spots, dullness and other marks were gone. I didn't push it knowing paint is very thin. Sealed today and will wax tomorrow. Very fast, most time consuming portion of the process was taping off the top and bottom rubber.

Thanks to all for the help,
Howard
