How do you clean eye glasses????

I use foaming hand soap - wet the lens, squirt the foaming soap on it and rub back and forth gently. Riunse well.

The trick is in the drying - I use a microfiber on both sides of the lens at the same time and pat dry, pressing towards the lens from both sides at the same time - DON'T WIPE.

Obviously you need a Metro Master Blaster so that you can dry them without instilling any scratches ;)

When the glasses get blown out of your hand by the MB and slide across the floor, you can polish them too with the mini-buffer.

hmmm odd, i have anti glaring coat and have no issues with scratches. i just use a mf towel no issues

I wear Nikon glasses. The coating on the lenses is hydrophobic - what a difference that makes! I use warm water and dish soap with my fingers, then sheet rinse them with warm water flowing over the lenses from the top edge and there is hardly any water left on them. The few little drops left I just absorb off of them with the sharp edge of a paper towel. Perfect every time.

Best,

Jose

opti-coat them??? but this could change the index of refraction changing the power of the lense

I mix 80% Prima Clarity with 20% Prima Slick. Clarity is safe on plastic and does the cleaning in this combo. Slick adds the slickness so I'm not ripping tiny fibers from my microfiber towels.

I've been doing it this way for years with coated lenses. No problems at all.

How does it perform on glass eyes?
