If I am not mistaken, which I probably am because I dont own a flex....that brush was designed for the PC/Meg/GG DA polisher and not the Flex. As it uses a gear driven backing plate

I don't even see how that can have the same thread--I would presume that the Flex has a metric thread, but I suppose if that screws in it might work (without the forced rotation). This should be interesting.

But as Frenchie noted, those brushes are for the other DA's.

I have a Flex 3401 and the same type of brush for carpets. The brush is meant for a PC style polisher with a 5/8" thread. You definitely can't attach it to a Flex.

That's interesting because in the photo it does appear to be attached to the 3401. I was under the impression that the Flex had a metric thread as well. Where did the brush come from? Does the brush have a metric thread? Is it actually attached in the photo or it it just sitting in the polisher's threaded hole? If it is attached it will work but at 480 RPM with a orbiting motion.

Edit: Upon further thought it would just wiggle back and forth and not spin at all.

t dave is right, the brush is just sitting on top and not attached. The thread does not fit perfectly. I can only get 2 turns in and it stopped. I did forced it a little and it kinda work ;) though not perfect. So what kind of brush do i need for the flex or should i get the PC?

Have you tried a drill? I have a brush like that but I use it on a drill its great for dirty mats

I have a couple drills and a couple of impact drivers. I never thought of using them. I used the drill once w/ the buffer ball to polish the chrome wheel and it was a PITA. I'll give it a try again :) thanks

Here is my set up.

Or you can get this brush that hooks up to the backing plate of the flex.

Where do you get the brush that adapt to the drill?

and where can i find that brush hook to the Flex?

Links?/? Thanks Dave

WOW, ya they sell a velcro backedbrush attachment for the Flex. I use it all the time. Its never a good idea to try and force threads especailly on a $300 Flex. If its not going in smooth don't do it. The brush I have is a 6in that looks like the picture david posted.Works great but is a paint to take off. You have to have a flat head screwdriver to break the connection between the velcro

Thanks for all the good info. The velcro backed brush is on order :)

i also used the brushesi have w/ the drill and it works awesome. Thanks guys.

This is the one I use as well.... It uses Velcro just like any foam pad and doesn't require mechanical fasteners...:props:

When I first saw the pictures on this thread I was like WHOA, what's going on here!?!? haha.
