How do you detail badges

The area under the badge on my C5 Corvette is a wreck. I am to the point of removing it, buff the area and reattach it.
How do the rest of you detail around badges? Granted some badges are easier to detail than others.

If yours is detachable then I would remove. I wish mine were and not on there with the factory adhesive. My 2 cents.

I sometimes use a little M105 (or similar) on a small foam detailing stick or hand applicator. It is a pain though, curious what others are doing as well.

I use those little paint sponges, it has a wooden handle, we all seen them.
It has an edge at the tip so you can get super close to the badge, close enough to make a difference.
The Meguiar's 205 Ultra Fine Polish seems to work better than of a compound , you can work it longer and easier to remove.
To remove it I just take another sponge and rub it out then come back with a thin MF towels and buff it the best I can.
That's about the only way I know how to do it.

The way I detail around badges without removing them off the car is using a combination of cotton, and foam swabs with meguiars m105, and m205 it's time consuming but it works
Wonders you can also get some of hand polishing pads or some old polishing pads that need to be retired, and cut them up into shapes, and forms to get around your badges too

I have both M205 and foam paint brushes. I will try it out soon as we get back to freezing. 3 above now.

What ive done before is take a MF rag and wrap it around a soft bristle tooth brush. Use a little finish polish and use the brush/MF rag combo to get into those hard to reach areas.

My process for cleaning inside badges is pretty simple. Take some paint safe citrus cleaner or wax, degreaser, bug removal and spray it over the emblems catching any drips with a MFT. Let it dwells on the area for about 5 minutes spray again if needed to keep the area saturated. Then take a soft rubber bristles toothbrush as shown below and go to town. Then usually rinse areas with hot water using the tornador then air dry and perfection. I've never had to use any compound or polish so far. Hope this helps.
