I bought quite a few of the Mf towels when they were BOGO here, and I bought two packs of the Costco yellow MFs for door jambs, interior etc. What Im wondering is how do you guys organize your towels? How do you "recirculate" your stock? Should I go with all the Mf towels I have and just put the cleaned ones under the new ones and rotate stock?

How do you guys wash your MF wash mitts after cleaning your car?

I keep all my towels separated in there own tubs. When I buy new ones I wash first before I use them. It depends which towels I switching out if they are buffing towels I'll take the old ones and use for interior work. If there interior towels I move them to real dirty jobs like engine cleaning or door jams and trunk jams. For the MF mitts I wash them the same way I wash my MF towels. If the towels you are rotating are still good I just mix them in. I use woolite to wash all my towels and hope this helps you.

Yep thanks. The tubs that you use are the ones for like shoes? The clear Sterilite ones?

Clear ones with a locking top and I label all my tubs with what the towels are used for and I get mine at Target.

I put the clean ones on the bottom.

Lol, That's about A LOT of microfibers....
For how many cars would you use all of them?

I am trying now to open a Small business by myself, with 8 Hours a Day.
I got my own spot where I detail the cars.
But, I don't want to clean my microfibers EVERY day.

8 hours is about 10 - 8 Intensive washes.
Or about 3 Express Detailing, wash + clay + wax
Or about 1 Big project... I think you get what I mean...

I love drying towels, Like the guzzler, and for the windows a mini guzzler, some regular high quality all purpose towels with one side longer and one shorter.

What would you say? how much would I need to buy? I am coming to the US next week... Need to BUY EVERYTHING there.

People on this forum tend to go a bit overboard with microfiber care/storage and I am no exception.

I'm in your boat and I buy the 24 packs of ProForce microfibers at sams club. I have a pretty specific system that works well...

1. 1st 5 washes, use them for ONR washing. (I've never had any marring issues by the way)

2. After 5 washes delegated to interior work.

3. After they get noticeably stained after a wash, delegated to tires, wheel wells, engine bays, underbody etc..

4. Once they show any sign of physical wear (tearing, holes, etc.) throw them away.

I usually buy 4 packs at a time (around $50 worth). Where else can you get 96 moderate quality microfibers for $50?

I do have some high end Cobra's and such that I use for paint work, wax removal etc. When it comes to the "final touch" I am pretty meticulous about using high quality stuff.

Hope this helps, or at least gives you an idea. I would never spend a bunch of money on interior towels if I were you. For dealing with the paint, go all out.

I use the clear Sterite containers with 'locking' handle lids. Each container is labelled for what the towels are used for. I try to color code the towels as much as I can. I also try to use the same size containers so they fit on the shelves better.

I've got a cabinet that holds all my materials. AutoZone sells a pack of 12 or so MF towels that I use for interiors, jambs, engine bays, and applying product to plastic surfaces. I have 6 woobie towels that I use when paint is being touched. I'm a weekend warrior and this works well for me. I don't need a huge stock of towels seeing as I may use only 1-2 per wash.

I'm just a weekender, not a pro, so I probably have less than a hundred mf's in use. In addition to shelf stock, I have three bins on my cart, labelled "best", "mid-grade" and "utility", depending on thickness, softness and cleanliness. The "best" group is self-explanatory. The mid-grade group are used for rinseless washes, interiors, jambs etc. The utility group are for tires, wheels, underhood etc. As time, wear and stains have their affect, they move down thru the ranks.
