Hey guys,

I have a bit of a problem. It seems that a bit of sap found its way onto my car, and sat there for a while before I finally washed it off. It was so baked that I simply peeled off most of it, however, it left behind a brown residue.

I've tried claying it, using cleaner wax, and even using a light swirl remover ( PBSSR1) on it, but I can't seem to get it to go away, any ideas aside from a wool pad and heavy cut?

try Stoners Tarminator , I go to it or 3M Wax/Adhesive Remover if Poorboys BugSquash fails to remove tar and sap.

oops reread --- you removed sap but have staining. As long as it didnt etch the clearcoat some machine polishing should remove stain.

Simply using IPA has worked wonders for me in the past with exactly the situation you describe.

70% IPA. It worked. I love you guys. That is all.

I would have never thought of using IPA. I really like this place.

Works like a charm, but I would put a coat of wax or whatever LSP you used on it.
