How do you store your microfiber towels?

As I said in the other thread.
The day I took this photo I had 2 more bins in the garage, 1 in my car, and a load in the washer.

hey Tony, how many years did it take to get there?:)

Now Tony, you darn well you have 6 times that much. Why you being so modest.

Shhhhhh..... CarMomma watches the forum e-mail notifications! ;)

Had about half that many last year. Upped it by a couple hundred this year.
(Not counting all those Costco towels. Most of which I'll use a few times, then they get too dirty to put in the washer, or too beat up to use and I'll just throw them away.)

Very nice collection. But what really impresses my is your folding skills. My stacks of MF start to fall over at about 4-5 high.

Must learn the ways of the high-stackin' towels.

in all honesty, most of us in here (myself included) treat our towels WAYYYYY better than some of the well known pros. one recognizable name pro i've visited takes his towels to the laundromat to wash and dry and keeps mostly in garbage bags....some just sitting around in the open, stacked up.

not me. but i am using mostly MFM towels now so i need to go overboard to protect these babies just because i can't afford to lose them to damage or mistreatment.

From my years of working in retail clothing, the key to making stacks high and square is laying the folds in alternating directions. If you look closely at Cardaddy's stacks that's exactly what he's doing :dblthumb2:

My wife takes instructions on how I want my towel washed very well she does a fantastic job. She folds the nice towels and places them in small plastic bags. The crap towels get tossed in plastic bags then they all go into my storage cabinet out in my garage.

Two plastic bins. One for grunt towels, one for premium towels. I have about 250+ total so I never run out.

Dang that's a whole lot of towel. What's the best towel for drying the car and removing sealant/wax/polish? Advice please? 😉

I keep mine in two large plastic bins with tight covers. I used to bag them before putting them in the bins but found it was necessary.

I keep my clean paint towels in a Rubbermaid bin and my misc. towels in a mesh bag.

That picture makes my nethers warm and tingly.
:laughing: :haha::laughing:

Sooooooooo..... if I were to make a big, soft, fluffy, microfiber bed that'd be a good thing, yes?

Learn one can, the ways stackin'-high the towels young Obi-Wan. :righton:

Yes indeed.... I even fold them into quarters and alternate by 90° for the 4 stacks on my detailing cart.:D

My wife takes instructions....

:applause:Clapping hands for pulling that one off!:applause:
Were I to give CarMomma "instructions" on how, and what to do with my towels me fears I'd find them all thrown in the garage floor. Or if I left them in the dryer I might wake up with them all thrown on ME!
FWIW.... she can't STAND to touch them, (other than the Korean split fiber ones) from working 30+ years as an office manager, handling literally thousands of sheets of paper each day. (Makes for a bazillion tiny paper cuts.)

Strange but true, my hands are a special kind of dry depending on the weather, and some MFs feel absolutely horrible against them. Usually the shorter-nap, lighter weight ones like the Kirklands and Simoniz get almost velcroed to my palms and fingers and feel horrible. Bleh. The Korean towels, even the lower-weight ones, are fine.

I have the same problem with certain towels also, it sucks!

I suggest that you NOT attempt the Paul Dalton barehanded method of applying Swiss Wax
