Ok, all this talk about gear, supplies, technique, but absolutely no mention of how to tape off stuff. I tried taping off my truck tonight and it was a pain. I used the 2" 3m blue tape but I noticed they changed something about this tape. The outside is slicker and waxy. The sticky side has more of a tack feeling and really gummed up my paint any time in came in contact with it. It was actually a hassle to remove in some areas. So obviously the hard part were all the cures that every vehicle has. No matter how hard I tried I could never get a proper wrap around. Now I know Mike has a TON of videos and how-to's, I think this would be a good one to add as I've heard just about every detailer say to tape off important areas of the vehicle, but noone has written anything on it.
