how do you wash your microfibers?

I use Detailers Microfiber cleaner. It works wonders. I like to put 1 oz in a bucket of 3 gallons and put the microfiber and agitate them and all the residue, oils and gunk comes out easily. Then i just rinse and air dry.

I would highly recommend against using anything with a fabric softener in it!

So what products do?

I know the Woolite I use does not contain fabric softeners or bleach.

I have a microfiber specific detergent that I also use. Its good but no better and certainly no better considering the ridiculous price ($35 for a 64 oz bottle  ...and we whine about the price of a gallon of gas). The prices of some products works on the fear of consumers.

My microfibers do not get grease and grime on them, so the cleaning power of what I use does the job 100%.

I have used almost every brand of mf detergent but keep going back to all free and clear with vinegar in the final rinse. Works just as good and cheaper

I bought the Blackfire stuff to try.

At the farm we just use a strong powdered detergent on the Microfibers. We use them until they start to roll up on themselves and become hard. They are dried on high heat as well. These practices do not result in very long life, especially if you would consider their lifespan until they would not be useful for detailing. They are cheap though, about $0.60 each and speed is more important than anything for us. We have four washers and dryers running all day between the farms and go through over 1500 MF's per day. They are used for cleaning cows teats prior to milking.
