How good is Invisible Glass?

I like the Invisi Glass, but I think I'm going to switch to Meguiar's after this can runs out

How does it compare to Rain-x? I stopped using Rainx due to the streaking and film left over. Almost grabbed a bottle of the repellant last night, but wanted to ask here first. Have loved Invisi-Glass since I bought it.

Ultimately I intend on grabbing some Aquapel.

I have long threw my Rain-X away, its too difficult to apply and remove and as you said lots of streaking. Each Application of the Stoner Repellant enhances its effectiveness; so the more applications, the better it gets. You have to clean your glass anyways....Stoner both cleans and protects.

Aquapel is a good choice for a "glass sealant"....I was thinking about applying Aquapel as a base and than maintaining with the Stoner Repellant.

Good Luck!

IG is probably the best glass cleaner on the market. I prefer the aersol version but both are excellent cleaners.

I've never had great luck with Stoner's spray (not aerosol) on automotive interior glass. Whether I used a new microfiber, a new but freshly washed, one for the initial wipe and another for the follow up...it's always left something behind. Based on the great recommendations of the Meg's I have that now.

I have to say though, for mirrors and other glass inside a house, Stoner's spray has not let me down.

Invisible Glass works better for me in the aerosol can. Gives better spray control, IMHO...

After years with just about every glass cleaner on the market I tried Stoners Glass Cleaner about 6 or 7 years ago and what a great product.

After finding Autogeek and reading what members were saying about Meguiar's Glass Cleaner I bought some and I'm not looking back. I'm not sure abut the tinting issue but combine this with Cobra's Microfiber Glass Towel and you've got an unbeatable combination...:props:

Looking for a window cleaner that I can use on my tinted windows (interior) and exterior, and it seems Invisible Glass has caught my eye.

How is it for those who have used it?

Stoner Invisible Glass Pump Spray: Non-aerosol formula cleans automotive glass to crystal clarity! clean glass, windshield cleaner, window cleaner,

I have used it. Not very good at all. It may damage the tint sheets. In any event, it does not do a good job. Buy somthing else. Try Sprayaway

According to Stoner: Is Invisible Glass safe to use on tinted windows?
Stoner's Technical Team has tested Invisible Glass on numerous types of aftermarket window tinting films and has not experienced any adverse effects.

Thanks the most factual info I could find.

IG works very well and being able to find it locally at walmart for under $4 makes it even better. there's another glass cleaner i've been wanting to try and one gallon dilutes to 50 gallons of RTU product...

Yeah, I've heard it safe on tints as well - and then I read the post above yours and some others on the web as such saying it's not safe on tint :(

Must be poor quality tint because i've been using it on my windows once a week for 3 years and my windows still look mint.

IMHO Stoner's Invisible Glass in the aerosol can is the best !! Spray it on and simply wipe it off and the windown is crystal clear :xyxthumbs:

No matter the product.......If it says on the container that it's safe for use on tinted windows...then it's safe to use on tinted windows.

Most aftermarket tinted windows are made from a couple of mils thick film/sheet of Mylar (a plastic). It scratches very easily and will be damaged by ammonia.

You can use any Stoner's IG that says on the container that it's "ammonia free" and "safe on tinted windows". The same criteria goes for Sprayway (my favorite). Or any other "window cleaner", IMHO.

After you get the interior tinted window surfaces cleaned to your expectations/satisfication:

Your best bet for easier cleaning in the future; and, to increase the longevity and tint shade, use either of these products to polish and seal the Mylar:

Detailer's Pro Series Plex-All™ Cleaner & Polish for All Clear Plastics 3 Pack

Or:

Plexus

IG is perfectly fine to use on tinted windows, been doing it for years without any problems/issues...

IG is good but I like Meguiar's Glass Cleaner better. Maguiar's is easier to wipe off, never, ever streaks or leaves a haze behind, and cleans off bugs easier.
