How important is a foam gun to washing a car properly?

Why would you assume that a hot 21 Y/O woman working in a hospital is stupid? I volunteer my time in the local hospital and I find that comment almost as ridiculous as this thread has become.

Assuming a hot 21 year old women is stupid is not the same as hoping.Im the MAN

It's the politically correct that have sucked the fun out of life. Post a picture. I want to see if you're hot.

Isn't as good as in your still dirty? Now, there are more ways to use ONR than just a wash mitt.

Oh, just give up. A hospital sponge bath does not remove as much dirt as a soak in the tub or shower. Same with a rinseless wash. One massages dirt and moves it around, the other washes it down the sink or driveway.

Of course, you could get a sponge bath from a bikini clad candy striper in your driveway followed by spraying her with a foam gun......

Sorry, but I gotta agree that there is no way to clean a really dirty car as safely and effectively with a rinse-less wash when compared traditional wash using a pressure washer. I love ONR and it's great for a lot of things, but there are some jobs it just doesn't make sense to use it on.

I will gladly go head to head with anyone on a dirty car, me using my method and you using a rinse-less wash. I will win on time, cleanliness, and overall safety of the paint.

Give me a time and a place. I'm willing to bet I can do it. Not saying your method is bad, just that it is possible when using the right products and technique to match the effectiveness and efficiency of a traditional wash.

Now, if you want to talk paint correction.....you win hands down!! :dblthumb2: I have seen your work and it is phenomenal:buffing:!!

This is a very humorous thread!

Personally, I usually wash using just the two bucket method. I have a foam gun, but I usually don't pull it out, since I don't often have a need for it unless I am doing a paint cleansing wash. I don't do a lot of rinseless washes, but I will do a waterless wash if need be, especially if I just washed the other day and have dust or pollen or something of that sort on the car. Seems to me that threads like this often turn into "wax wars" - i.e., what wax is better, pressure washer or garden hose, regular wash or rinseless/waterless, etc. They just seem to go around in circles without really going anywhere. In my opinion, for whatever it is worth, is just to do what you feel most comfortable with. If you want to do a rinseless wash, go for it. If you want to do a regular wash, go for it (as long as you're not breaking any rules or regulations). At the end of it all, you're still going to be doing things the way you want to do them anyway.

On a car that is only dusty or lightly soiled you may be able to do ONR just as quickly, and maybe even faster if it's really clean. But if you get a really dirty vehicle there is simply no way! ;)

ONR this! :D

i utilize the foam gun (attaches to garden hose) to it's fullest potential and not just as a pre-soak like many do. i prefer a traditional wash to ONR, but at the end of the day it's all personal preference, do what YOU like...

I think we can all agree on a foam gun in the hands of a bikini model. With another bikini model as a target. And an inflatable pool in the driveway. That has potential!

Agreed. That requires a traditional wash and maybe even a more than traditional wash....:) Good thing is no one goes off roading over where I am :xyxthumbs:

However, here are pics proving the cleaning ablilities of a rinseless or specifically Croftgate USA Rinseless Wash and Wax:

In neither of these cases did I do the wheel wells because it was too cold out but it can be done, I have done it and made a video proving it. There are some fine scratches on the Pilot but this truck has been abused with a snow brush several times before this wash occurred so I'm surprised there are not more deep scratches.

Each wash took me 1 hour but I am getting a little faster as I get my technique down and set.

Everytime this subject is brought up, it seems things get hostile fast. You foam cannon/gun/ONR guys sure are a goofy bunch
